Now Halloween has gone and bonfire night is here, many people in Hertfordshire will be looking forward to the most magical season of the year. Earlier this week singer Mariah Carey hilariously declared that with Halloween being over, it is time for everyone to start playing the iconic “All I want for Christmas” song.
Some believe that thinking about Xmas in November is too early, but we can safely say its never too early when we have so many great events to look forward to in Hertfordshire. In Waltham Cross this year, festivities are set to return very soon.
The Pavilions Shopping Centre in the town has announced its Christmas Light Switch On Event on Saturday, November 26 from 11am to 4pm. It has been reported that the Mayor, Counsellor Paul Seeby will join the celebration.

During the event families can expect a Christmas grotto and Santa Claus to take a visit, who will be waiting for children to come along and participate in family-friendly activities. A list of activities include a VR interactive sleigh ride, face painter and a temporary tattoo artist, nutcracker stilt walkers and also performances from SASA School of Performing Arts.
There will be a DJ, a Grinch impersonator and all children will be able to win prizes, as the event organisers encourage everyone to take part in competitions. Most importantly, there will be Pavilions’ Christmas light switch on and all of that is free of charge.
