It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas time. While some still might think it’s a bit too early to be considering the festive season, others are getting into the full swing of arguably the jolliest time of the year.
Here in Hertfordshire, there are many fantastic events planned from glorious light switch on events to beautiful markets. However, there’s one events residents absolutely love each year – the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour.
The highly anticipated tour often travels to Hertfordshire with areas like Watford and Baldock included. There’s great news as the company has confirmed the magical event will return for 2022.
What’s more, for the first time ever, Coca-Cola has said it will be collaborating with the Royal National Institute of Blind People and NaviLens to make the event accessible for blind and partially sighted people. Additionally, it has said it will donate the equivalent of up to 100,000 meals to those in need throughout the festive season.
Coca-Cola said: “For every person that attends the Coca‑Cola Truck Tour, Coca‑Cola Great Britain will fund the equivalent of one meal for a person in need. Kickstarting the ambition, the equivalent of 100,000 meals have already been donated to FareShare by Coca‑Cola Europacific Partners, with the ambition of funding the total equivalent of 200,000 meals.”
Tour locations have not yet been announced but many Herts residents will be eagerly awaiting to see if any of our wonderful towns get lucky this year. The company has said this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever before, with a magical ‘winter market’ setting and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.
There will also be opportunities to snap ‘giggle-inducing elfie selfie shots’, enjoy some delicious food at various pop up huts serving seasonal treats and various QR codes that will host interactive games. Of course, there will also be the chance to purchase various Coca-Cola products and have them personalizes with your name or short phrase, ideal for gifts.
Coca-Cola’s Christmas advert is set to appear on screens shortly, officially launching the festive season. Laura Moon, Senior Brand Manager at The Coca‑Cola Company, Great Britain, said: “Coca‑Cola has always been synonymous with Christmas, particularly the iconic Truck Tour and Holidays Are Coming advert.
“This year, the magic of Christmas is needed more than ever, and we are excited to bring back our famous truck tour to fans nationwide. We’re also extremely pleased to continue our relationship with FareShare and for every person that visits the Truck Tour, we’ll donate the equivalent of a meal on their behalf, supporting those most in need this festive season.”
